Has anyone read the definition of "trump"?

From Wikipedia:

A trump is a playing card which is elevated above its normal rank in trick-taking games. Typically an entire suit is nominated as a trump suit – these cards then outrank all cards of plain (non-trump) suits. In other contexts, the term trump card can refer to any sort of action, authority, or policy which automatically prevails over all others.

So here is my definition:

A trump is a politician which is elevated above normal rank in trick-taking politics. Typically a Republican is nominated along with a trump – these politicians then outrank all politicians of plain (non-trump) parties. In other contexts, the term trump politician can refer to any sort of action, authority, or policy which automatically prevails over all others.

Today is December 30 2016.

The year has blasted past. All the sudden we have a new president. No matter the personal crap i have been through.

I have not watched television to any extent for over a year. Not even sure if mine work any more. I turned on one during the hurricaine.

So let me look back, interest rates are crazy low, unembloyment is crazy low, we are fuel independent for the first time EVER,  the economey is blasting and life in general looks good. So Obama was bad at what again? I don't quite get it after the mess George left him with and the ardent stance against Obama the republican houses have taken.

History will take care of this.

It's Been A Very Long Time

I have talked about life all through this site and how quickly it passes. The last couple of years have been particularly tough not just because of the number of family and friends that have left us, but because of my Fredia's dwindling health. It's been a journey. We were blinded by the blindness. She had blood vessels burst in her retina of the right eye early in the year resulting in nearly total blindness in that eye. Around June or so, after complaints of blurry vision, i took her to an optomitrist that advised us to go see the opthomologist. The Diabetic Reitnaopathay had set into the left eye as well though with out bursting. It led to a major depression and reduction in activity. The following months we spent together, me trying to support her, she, trying to make sense of what was happening and why it was happening to her.

On November 2nd in the early hours of the morning, my beloved Fredia, had either a mild heart attack or a small stroke. We still are not sure which. My step son took her to the emergency room at Florida Hospital Waterman. Though weak and in some distress, she was awake, and quite oriented to what was going on. Her blood pressure was high and the attending decided he should give something to lower it. What he failed to do was to check her blood tests before administering medication. If he had, he would have seen her kidney results were elevated demonstrating reduced kidney function. He didn’t do the blood tests. Instead he administered Lisinopril via IV. This resulted in complete kidney failure. It is well known Lisinopril in large doses is extremely harmful to the kidneys. The nephrologist even made the remark to me the next day, “it’s quite common in the ER. It’s what keeps my business going.

As the days wore on, she fought. The cardiologist had even released her as her heart functions had returned to normal. The kidneys still had not. On Sunday, they were able to remove the vent for about 9 hours. She was awake, aware of time and place. Even looked at the board, saw the date and knew she had been there for a week. She asked me questions about things that were “undone” at home. Alas, she was too weak to fight the water build up around her heart and lungs and because her oxygenation dropped, they had to re-intubate. The decision was made to do dialysis. I thought that was great as it would allow the kidneys to heal.

The ICU doctor placed a venous catheter in her groin. He performed the procedure right there in her bed in the ICU. He told me he didn’t like doing it as it has a high risk for infection. Wasn’t much longer after and an infection set in. It seemed no matter the progress she made with her original problems she was not making progress against the infection despite the cocktail of antibiotics.  She began bleeding from the mouth, seeping from her extremities. It was horrible. On the 26th of November, she had a massive internal bleed. It was just too much for her weakened body and her kids and I decided to stop the heroics as we were clearly losing the battle. She passed Thanksgiving Day at 8:22 in the evening.

1)      They should never have administered a dangerous drug without blood tests in the ER, no matter the situation. Period, the end. The nephrologist verified that.

2)      The doctor should never have placed the catheter in the room, it should have been done in a sterile environment. He knew that, he verbalized it.

3)      Her original problem she overcame. Extubated and released from the cardiologist in just 6 days.

4)      The hospital doctors made grave errors, not maliciously, but none the less, they were errors and she died as a result. She died because of the treatment, not what brought her there.

Now here is the part that just plain sucks. She and I had managed to put together about 100 thousand bucks worth of property and assetts in her name over the 13 years we have beem together. It's really not much money, but its what we were counting on for our retirement and leaving the remainder for our kids. Well because of our great politicians, we have a law in place that protects the doctors and hospitals if there is no spouse, dependents or children under 25. (She has none of the above.) Does that make their erronous actions justified, just becasue she does not meet these criteria? This multi-billion dollar corporation will get to pillage her measly 100k just because of a law our dutiful politicians passed? 100k. Nothing to the sorts of Florida Hospital. Nothing to the doctors or ancillery services. Nothing to probably a lot of the Politicians. For us, for the kids, for the grandkids, everything.

December 30 2016 Adding as a note. I was angry then. It sounds like i was mad about the money, i was mad because i couldn't hold anyone accountable for what i knew was a simple mistake. Complex mistakes are different, this one was simple. I guess i am still a little mad.

Is it time for me to go to Google and list this site? I sit in wonder at the race in Florida for governer. Wow, it is like two seven year olds fighting it out. Name calling, finger pointing, accusations all around. Neither can stand up and tout their merits without ripping apart the opposition. And somewhere there is this guy named something like Wylie. No money (just like the rest of us), but good values. How does he fit in? Nowhere, he has no money. Did anyone get to hear what he has to say? No, he has no money so he has no advertisements. I am not saying I fully support him, I am just saying check out his website and make your own decesion... http://wyllieforgovernor.com/ That said, I will be posting this site on Google tonight and preparing to accept the flashback.

Prolly because no-one has responded. Mmm. Wonder why.

2014 has been horrendous thus far.

Jan 9, my bro-in-law, Neb passed.

Feb 5, my bro-in-law, Andy passed

Feb 7, my uncle, Jack passed

Feb 7, my good friend, Keith passed

Ok. Wake up folks. We are born, we live, we pass. It is a short journey. If you read this then you still have the chance. You are still here. You, like me, get to do it again tomorrow. Those listed above, they do not get to.

Are you awake now?

Lets get together and make a difference for those that we leave this world to!
